Select two events and merge them onto screen as one event A-B B-C shows A-C instead of just being alb

A-B B-C shows A-C instead of just being able to see them only separately or the whole day? I can see start of A-B I can see where I stopped at B-C (end) But I cannot figure out how to select both…
